Session 1, Jan-Mar: Fly into the worlds of Bats and Honey Bees. Outlive Survival Scenarios. Reflect on the magic of Mirrors. Rise into Buoyancy. Watch out for Carnivorous Plants. Cover the bases (and acids) in Wild Chemistry Lab. Study fingerprints and forgeries with Detective Science 1.

Session 2, Mar - May: Discover the beauty of Butterflies. Slip into Slime with polymers. Help yourself to some Food Chemistry. Breeze into Weather Drivers. Crush it in Vacuums and Air Pressure. Test your cool with Endothermic and Exothermic reactions. Find your roots in DNA & Natural Selection. 

All experiments are kid safe and fully supervised. All materials are included. Curriculum is age appropriate: older students lessons are more advanced and complex. (All lessons subject to change.)

MAGIKIDS COURSE IN MAGIC FOR KIDS - AGES 7-10

Seeing a magician perform is a chance to experience the wonders of magic. Performing magic allows your child to become the life of the party and give your family and friends something wonderful to remember. Most of all, your child will enjoy amazing everyone. Magic is an ancient art, international language and an incredible world unto its own. Paula Ramsey brings that world forward with her MagiKids’ Course in Magic. This is a pleasure and a gift your child will have and be able to give for a lifetime.
In this class, students will learn to:

* “think outside the box”

* invent and adapt their own tricks and routines

* learn about the exciting history and evolution of magic

* Increase their motor and eye-hand coordination

* develop their self-esteem and public speaking/acting abilities

Students will learn tricks with everyday objects, cards, coins, ropes  and much much more.
Note: There is a $10 materials fee to be paid to the instructor at the first class.

STEM Challenge with LEGO, Winter 
 Ages 7-12 / Grades 2-6

  
Level up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO®! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as Belt-Drive Cars, Truss Bridges, Rail Racers, and Pneumatic Forklifts! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. There is no prerequisite for this course.

Intro to STEM with LEGO, Spring 
Ages 5-6/ Grades K-1

 
Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO®! Build engineer-designed projects such as Trains, Helicopters, Tree houses, and Beam Bridges. Then use special pieces to create your own unique design! New 
and returning students can explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor.  There is no prerequisite for this course.
